Trump Has Asked Rebecca Ferguson To Sing For Him

IN ANOTHER show of appreciation for England, America’s President-Elect Donald Trump has asked Liverpudlian Rebecca Ferguson to sing at his swearing-in to the White House later this month.
Trump’s request comes shortly after he was seen in New York with UKIP’s Nigel Farage whom the property mogul was seen discussing foreign policy with before he met our Prime Minister Theresa May.
Reports claim that Trump’s camp are having trouble securing popular US performers for the 20 January event, with a recent talent contest winner being the only reported confirmation so far.
Ferguson Tweeted what seemed to be a reply to Trump, confirming that she would indeed perform on the condition that she could sing Billie Holliday’s Strange Fruit, an iconic song synonymous with slavery and lynchings that occurred in America during that era. The ‘strange fruit’ in the song referred to dead bodies of murdered black people which were hung from trees.
Ferguson is yet to receive a public answer back from Trump who is known for expressive Tweets, personally written as opposed to presenting a polished social media image; as many would expect of a man about to take the Presidency.
